Marko reveals Red Bull are "getting very, very encouraging news from Honda"

Helmut Marko and Mercedes both expect next year to be more exciting than in 2020. Red Bull Racing must, however, make sure that they get off to a better start when the season starts in Australia. Toto Wolff is wary after Max Verstappen's victory at the Yas Marina Circuit.

"It will be more exciting," Wolff expects in conversation with the German Sky. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix shows what Red Bull are capable of. "They were faster today, so we have to walk on our toes and do a good job next year."

Marko knows what to do

Helmut Marko is of course aiming for the same. "That is our absolute goal. There are not many changes in the chassis, really only on the floor. We are doing well in those areas. We are getting very, very encouraging news from Honda," the 77-year-old said. "It is very clear that we have to be absolutely top in terms of engine and chassis to be able to compete with Mercedes from the start."

Valtteri Bottas had some disappointing results in 2020, but there was nothing the Finn could have done against the speed of the RB16. "He did a really good job. They were faster, we just didn't do it right," is Wolff's simple conclusion.
