Yesterday Sergio Perez finally took his first victory after 190 Grands Prix starts. According to Ross Brawn the victory was well deserved and he hopes that Racing Point driver will find a seat next season.

Great victory for Perez

"This was a thoroughly deserved victory for Checo," Brawn said in his column on F1.com. "Checo just drove brilliantly."

"We all want to see him next year. It’ll be a tragedy if he can’t get a car. The team must be thinking about the decisions they have made, losing him when he’s driving so well," continued Brawn. When the team changes from Racing Point to Aston Martin, Sebastian Vettel will replace Perez.

Vettel needs to show what he's got

According to Brawn, Vettel is in a difficult period of his career. "Checo is a guaranteed deal. So that’ll be interesting to see how that develops. In a way, Seb has some fairly big shoes to fill now, even if he’s a world champion."
