Russell should be near enough the Red Bulls in qualifying

In anticipation of the upcoming race for Williams talent George Russell who will race for Mercedes, Formula 1 journalist Ted Kravitz has already set the bar for a good first race for the Brit.
With a positive coronavirus test from Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton, it is now George Russell's job to fight for the honour in the Silver Arrow. Ted Kravitz is already passing on his expectations to Sky Sport: “It’s going to be very difficult for George but he’s an expert at qualifying on Saturdays so I would imagine top 5 in qualifying on Saturday would be a very good result for him and top 4 even, he should be near enough with the Red Bulls.”
For the race, Kravitz voices a similar expectation, with one big difference: “In the race he can be, again, top 4 would be very good, a podium would be kind of expected in the car that he’s driving.”
Praise for Mercedes
Kravitz expresses his pleasure at Mercedes; he is very happy with the fact that they have chosen Russell as a replacement for Hamilton. He said they did the right thing “giving their development driver, a young driver a chance to make his GP-debut with a top team like Mercedes.”
