Red Bull today announced Alexander Albon as the new ambassador of Wings For Life, the charity in which Red Bull is closely involved. With this cooperation Red Bull seems to be hinting at Albon's longer stay at the energy drink producer.

Wings For Life

The Wings For Life Foundation is committed to finding a cure for spinal cord injury. The charity has close ties with Red Bull and has been Red Bull's official charity partner since 2005.

Albon himself is very happy with his ambassadorship. "It means a lot to me. It is so important to secure the funding necessary to continue research into spinal cord injuries so that all those affected by spinal cord injury, might one day make a full recovery.”

Hint to longer stay

With the appointment of Albon as ambassador for Wings For Life, the team also seems to be hinting at a longer stay for the Thai driver. Whether that will also be the case for Red Bull Racing as a team mate of Max Verstappen remains to be seen. Of course AlphaTauri is still an option as well, especially if Yuki Tsunoda doesn't manage to get his super license.
