Williams will drive Roy Nissany this Friday during the first free practice in Bahrain. Nissany will take over the wheel from George Russell, who will be able to rest a bit longer.

It had already been announced that Nissany will drive the test in Abu Dhabi together alongside Jack Aitken at the end of the season, which means that the current drivers will be able to go on holiday a little earlier after this special season. In a statement, Williams announced that Nissany will also have another chance on Friday.

Free practice in the light

The first free practice in Bahrain is held in the light while the race is held in the dark. In general, it is considered that the dates from the first free practice and the third free practice are less important for the race and qualification because of the different circumstances.

Nissany has been a test driver at Williams for some time but it doesn't look like he will have a chance in Formula 1 with the team anytime soon. For next year the team will not make any changes to their drivers' set-up. Russell and Nicholas Latifi will be the drivers for 2021.
