Lewis Hamilton's team, family and fans have been congratulating Lewis Hamilton for winning his seventh F1 World Championship. Also, many top athletes and world stars have congratulated him on making history.

Congratulations on Instagram

Congratulations flooded in, especially on the Mercedes driver's Instagram. Artists like Lionel Richie, Willy William, Brennan Heart, Demi Lovato and Ryan Tedder, actress Reese Witherspoon, chef Gordon Ramsay and footballers Clarence Seedorf and Dani Alves are just the tip of the iceberg.

One of the most special names that came through here is Brazilian football player Pelé. "I can't wait to see you win the eighth world title. Congratulations and keep fighting for all of us. I like this guy because he loves racing. Just like my good friend Schumacher," he writes.

Pelé and Formula 1

The fact that Pelé is following Formula 1 is not new, but that sometimes went wrong. In 2002 he waved the flag at the Brazilian Grand Prix, but he was so busy chatting that he missed out on winner Michael Schumacher and eventually the number three, David Coulthard, as first. In 2006 they still dared to ask him back and he handed Schumacher a trophy in honour of the end of his career.
