Wolff: 'If I leave, Mercedes would still win'

Toto Wolff has been by Lewis Hamilton's side for many years now. Over those years, the two have become good friends. While their partnership is important, the Mercedes team boss doesn't want to overestimate his role either.
"It shows how he is able to deal with a situation that initially worked against him," Wolff told Sky Sports about Hamilton's performance in the wet Turkish GP. “He was the only one who kept his car on the asphalt. That's the difference today. ”
Wolff wants to leave the team well, but not yet
“We have a great relationship that has grown over the years. The team is 100 percent behind him and he is 100 percent behind the team. That's why he still manages to do it on the difficult days. He managed to pull it off against all odds."
There was talk that Wolff will leave the team after this season, but that is still a while. “That moment has not yet come. If I left they would still win. I see that as my obligations to ensure that the team also wins in the future," Wolff said.
