Mick Schumacher will most likely get the chance to drive with Haas in 2021 and with that the Schumacher name returns in Formula 1. Mick says he is ready to make the step.

With the news that Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi will stay with Alfa Romeo in 2021, there is only one place left where the favourite for the Formula 2 title can go: Haas. Mick Schumacher is on his way to a title in F2, but it doesn't necessarily seem relevant for a seat in Formula 1.

Schumacher ready for Formula 1

The German has his name, of course, but with an F3 title and possibly an F2 title under his belt, no one can say that Schumacher has no talent. ''I don't think the internal struggles within the Ferrari programme are putting any more pressure on me, because I want to fight against the best drivers and if those aren't my teammates, then it's someone else," says Schumacher at Formula1.com.

''The ultimate goal is Formula 1 and I think that applies to everyone in Formula 2, but there are a limited number of seats. Only the bosses know who gets the seats, so we don't really talk about that either. That's why for me the focus is now on F2 and if I do that and the people at the top see what I am doing, that step will come naturally," concludes Michael Schumacher's son.
