The oldies have the advantage: these three drivers have already won the Turkish GP

Next weekend Formula 1 will return for the Turkish Grand Prix. A historical circuit that many followers are familiar with, but also some drivers already drove on this circuit. Of those four drivers, three even won a race.
The Turkish Grand Prix is one of the favourites of many Formula 1 fans. The Turkish Grand Prix provided a great race almost every year, but was finally taken off the calendar after 2011. Many drivers have never driven an F1 race here, but four drivers already have some experience.
The oldies at an advantage
It is not very surprising that the oldest of the Formula 1 grid was already driving in Turkey. Indeed, Kimi Raikkonen won the very first edition in 2005. After that, Raikkonen took the podium twice more in his next four performances, but had to watch his teammate Felipe Massa win the race no less than three times.
Ferrari was not the only team to win here, as Lewis Hamilton won his first Turkish Grand Prix for McLaren in 2010. The Briton had also participated in the race in 2007, 2008 and 2009, but only reached the podium in 2008. In the last edition of 2011 Hamilton had to settle for fourth place again.
Another winner
In that last edition it was Sebastian Vettel who took off with the victory. The German had a wide margin on teammate Mark Webber and Fernando Alonso. For Toro Rosso the Turkish GP was never a success for Vettel, but with Red Bull Racing he was already on the podium in 2009. After a breakaway in 2010 after the famous crash with his teammate, Vettel did win the race in 2011.
The last driver to drive in Turkey was Sergio Perez. The Mexican made his Formula 1 debut in 2011 and took part in one edition of the Turkish GP. It was not a great success for the Mexican, who had to settle for a fourteenth place. After a disqualification, throwout and seventeenth place, this was his best result ever in F1.
