In 2021 Haas will have a completely new line-up. Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen will make way for two new drivers, at least one of whom is expected to be a young Formula 2 driver. Mick Schumacher seems to be certain of a seat, but Guenther Steiner doesn't want to say anything about it yet.

Steiner expects the announcement to be long overdue and expected the same from the other team with Ferrari engines. "I had asked Fred Vasseur to wait until after this season for the announcement, but it clearly did not work ," Steiner explained to the Danish  Ekstra Bladet . Alfa Romeo announced last week that they are sticking with their current lineup.

Waiting until the end of the season

Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi will therefore also drive for the Italian team in 2021, making it almost certain that a Ferrari junior will drive for Haas in 2021. Steiner, however, tempers expectations. " Mick is a Ferrari driver. A lot is happening at the moment, but it is their driver and not ours."

Steiner himself has clear plans about the announcement. " We are not going to announce the drivers until the season is over. Of course the fans already want to know, but the drivers are the most important figures within the team. In order to keep a good team spirit, we should only announce it when we know everything for sure. "
