Alexander Albon certainly did not help himself at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. The Thai is surely in his last races at Red Bull Racing to show that he is worth the seat, but he missed out at Imola.

Albon has been under pressure for a year and a half as Red Bull Racing's second driver and seems to be coming to his last races for the Austrian team. The Thai is sinking further and further into the swamp and was once again caught making a silly mistake at Imola, spinning whilst under pressure from Carlos Sainz behind.

Albon deeper into the swamp

''Albon unfortunately has no support and it was another difficult race for him who finished fifteenth, after losing a duel and then his car in the Villeneuve-chicane," Martin Brundle says in his column for Sky Sports. The Briton grants Albon all sorts of things, but sees that his position is no longer tenable.

''I don't enjoy it at all and perhaps even bother to say that if he loses his seat, he shouldn't even complain. He's better than this and I hope he can find himself back, because Red Bull needs him quickly from the front," concludes the former Formula 1 driver.
