Recently the team of Haas announced not to continue with Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen. Now that the seats on the other teams are largely filled, there is little chance that we will see either of them back in Formula 1. However, Kevin Magnussen says he did have options to stay.

To Motorsport-Total.com, Magnussen declared that he had chances for a seat in Formula 1 next season, but 'not at any price'.

Options for Kevin Magnussen

'I had options to stay in Formula 1. However, these options are no longer available', says the Dane. However, something that also played a role in his decision not to change teams is that he misses out on fighting for the championship.

'The latter is very important for my future plans. I miss winning races. In the future, I want to be in a position where I can be fast and win races and titles,' concludes Magnussen.

Now the question remains what he will do next year, and who will take his place. Now that Alfa Romeo has confirmed both drivers for 2021, there seems to be a good chance that Mick Schumacher will take one of the two seats.
