Alexander Albon is under pressure at Red Bull Racing, but Christian Horner clearly states that the British-Thai is still in control. Albon himself also seems calm under all the pressure from the outside world.

Albon has been driving for Red Bull Racing since 2019 after Pierre Gasly was demoted halfway through that season. However, the British-Thai hasn't done much better since then. At the press conference before the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, Horner is clear about the expectations.

Albon continues to fight

''It's Alex's seat. Everyone wants him to stay. Shut yourself off from others and focus on the work," says the British team boss according to Formule1.nl. ''There is an opportunity. A fast car can also be a tricky car. The car has some limitations, but we now understand where it went wrong. We are working hard to make a better package. We are fully focused on Plan A (Albon, ed.). If we're going to use Plan B, you'll hear it right," concludes Horner.

Albon is then asked whether he prefers to drive for Red Bull or AlphaTauri. The answer, of course, can already be guessed. ''It's every driver's dream to drive for a top team like Red Bull, so my goal is to stay with the team," concludes Max Verstappen's teammate.
