Sergio Perez is one of the candidates for the seat at Red Bull Racing in 2021 and at the press conference prior to the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, it is clear that Perez would like to go to Red Bull.

Perez actually had a contract with Racing Point for 2021, but a clause in his contract ensured that the Mexican could be expelled from the team. Sebastian Vettel will be his replacement and Perez himself is now looking for a new team. Red Bull Racing would of course be his dreamed move, but he is not the only one.

Perez hopes for Red Bull

''I'm not ruling out Red Bull. As long as no one is confirmed for the second seat they are an option, but there are other options for next year'', says Perez at the press conference according to Formule1.nl. So the Mexican is still working on Haas, who is the only other team that still has seats available.

When Perez is asked for a role as second driver next to Max Verstappen, he is clear. ''I haven't really thought about that yet. I don't think the number 2 status will be given on the track. It would surprise me if they said right away that I am the second driver, although of course I don't know how they work at Red Bull'', the Racing Point driver concludes.
