'I think Red Bull announces replacement for Albon before the end of the year'

The Grand Prix weekend at the Portimao circuit was Alexander Albon's chance to make up for his bad weekend at the Nürburgring. Instead, his situation looks even worse.
Robert Doornbos therefore has little understanding of Albon's reaction to his 12th place at 'Crash in the kitchen' on Ziggo Sport. "If you say to your team 'I have enough to think about after this weekend' and you finish a lap behind your teammate, outside the points...', then in the eyes of Doornbos you have lost reality."
'Albon has lost his seat for sure'
"I feel sorry for that guy too", the former Formula 1 driver puts his own words into perspective a little later. "Of course it's a top sport, it's eating or being eaten. In this case, he is completely eaten by everyone and he has lost his seat for sure.
"I think they are going to announce that in November or December, before the end of the season. Before the last two races or so."
The team themselves have indicated that they want to make a choice before the Turkish Grand Prix, but that is, as Doorsbos says, something else.
