Max Verstappen believes that Red Bull Racing are on the right track in terms of performance upgrades. The Dutchman says that Red Bull's 2020 car has certainly improved in recent weeks, stating that the mistakes made this year are unlikely to happen again next year.

"There are indeed still some question marks, but I can say that the car has certainly improved throughout the year," said Verstappen at the press conference after qualifying for the Grand Prix of Eifel on Saturday afternoon, according to De Telegraaf. The Dutchman emphasizes, however, that the same applies to the competition. "But the front and rear of the car are a bit more 'connected'."

All in all, the RB16 is becoming increasingly competitive and that is good news for next season, because then almost the same cars will be used in Formula 1. "At the beginning of this year, a number of things were not good. We are trying to learn from that. And we want to improve ourselves. Also towards next year, so that we don't make the same mistakes. "

Verstappen also indicates that he would not necessarily mind if two-day Grands Prix were organised more often by Formula 1. “Especially when you have little issues or whatever, you can go over it through a whole night. You can look back at it in the factories as well, work in the simulator and stuff," he is quoted by Racefans.net.

“But overall like Valtteri said, we have a lot of practice so you also take your time to settle in. Now, you know that it’s only one session, you’re straight away on it I think a bit more than what you would normally do in first practice or whatever. So it evens out a bit, but there are little things which can always be improved," the nine-time Grand Prix winner concludes.
