Verstappen welcomes short practice: "First time here with hybrid engines"

After a seven year absence, F1 returns to the Nürburgring in Germany. Gathering data on Friday was the motto, but that wasn't possible. The first two practice sessions were cancelled due to rain and fog. According to Max Verstappen, that's no problem.
Verstappen likes short preparations
Verstappen indicates that he likes the fact that little time has been spent inside the cockpit. Most teams no longer have relevant data about the circuit.
The mechanics therefore have plenty to do. In conversation with Ziggo Sport, the Red Bull Racing driver says:
"I'm thinking more about tuning the engine for the race; how to use the energy over the whole lap. They have to fine-tune that in the garage. That's because they haven't driven hybrid engines here yet either".
A busy Saturday in Germany
There are currently no relevant dates with the teams for the weekend. Much will depend on the third free practice, which is now the first practice. Drivers will get just one hour to explore the Nürburgring. This while rain is expected for the rest of the weekend.
Verstappen: "Between the two practice sessions you have nothing to say. The team will of course continue on the simulator as well, but we just have to hope that we can drive tomorrow. During FP3 we will, of course, drive more laps in a row, in the beginning, to get into the rhythm".
