Button gets angry: "Lifetime ban for both idiots please"
- GPblog.com
Last weekend, the world karting championship was held in Lonato, Italy, but unfortunately it was not in the news for the right reasons. In the race, one of the drivers showed his worst side.
Italian Luca Corberi dropped out during the race after coming into contact with his compatriot Paolo Ippolito. He then waited for Ippolito at the side of the track to throw the bumper of his kart to his head. The race was then still in full swing. Images of it went all over the world.
Afterwards, Corberi went to get another hard story. A few bystanders were also involved in this scuffle. It has to be said that the Corberi family owns the Lonato circuit, famous in the karting world.
Button wants harsh punishments
On Twitter, Jenson Button did not have a good word for Corberi. "Luca Corberi has just destroyed any chance he had of a racing career after his disgusting behaviour today at the FIA Karting World Championship," says Button on social media. "His father owns the track and you can see him beating that driver to the wall with force. Lifetime suspension for both idiots, please."
Both Corberi and Ippolito have now been disqualified for the incident that made Corberi so angry. The behavior that followed is still being investigated. Felipe Massa, who oversees the karting championship for the FIA, is likely to lead this investigation.
