Kvyat did not yet speak to Marko: "I understand all this perfectly"

Daniil Kvyat knows that this season he has not yet achieved maximum performance in the AlphaTauri. Criticism of the Russian driver is increasing bit by bit and it is very doubtful whether Kvyat will still be driving for Franz Tost's team next year. Clarity is expected within thirty days.
"I have a negative attitude towards the term 'bad luck', I prefer to talk about circumstances," Kvyat says to Sport-Express. "Sometimes they are in your favour, sometimes they are against you, and this year they have often been against me."
Kvyat must fear for his place
Pierre Gasly has been several tenths faster in many qualifying sessions this year and also on Sundays the Russian is often beat by his teammate. Honda-protegé Yuki Tsunoda is on his way to achieving his super license in Formula 2 and that means that Kvyat could be replaced in 2021.
However, the 26-year-old reports that he or his management have not yet spoken to Helmut Marko. "There are no negotiations. I think we will communicate within the next 30 days. But I am not nervous and I understand all this perfectly. We are only in the middle of the season. Good results are always the best argument for negotiations. The rest is secondary," he concluded.
