Perez not happy: "I don't like hearing things like that at all"

It is a difficult time for Sergio Perez. After it became known that he will be replaced by Sebastian Vettel after this season, all kinds of rumours about his future are circulating. The Mexican is not happy about that.
Just before the GP in Mugello it became clear that from next year there will be no more room for 'Checo' Perez with the Racing Point team, which will merge into Aston Martin. As a result, the Mexican no longer has a seat and there are few really attractive options for him in Formula 1. He could go to Haas or to Alfa Romeo, but Perez said earlier that he will only go to a team if he is fully motivated to do so.
"Not nice to hear"
Earlier there were reports that Nico Hulkenberg but also Sergio Perez are on a list at Red Bull to replace Alexander Albon. But Perez is not at all happy with that kind of rumour, he lets Sky Sports know. "I don't like hearing things like that at all. I don't want to hear any of that and I won't say anything about the conversations I have, for example. What's more, I don't yet know what will happen to my career."
Despite this statement, he continues calmly. "I'm talking to all the teams where there are still seats available for next year. But the feeling has to be good, otherwise I'd rather be on the sidelines for a year. Then I'll see what can happen in 2022."
