Charles Leclerc drove a fine race in Russia for this year's Ferrari with a great result. The Monegask came sixth, although this cannot be fully attributed to the updates the Italians brought. However, there will be more updates in Germany next week.

For the Russian Grand Prix, Ferrari had brought some updates. Coincidence or not, but Leclerc drove a great race. Motorsport.com asked Leclerc if this had something to do with each other. "It didn't really feel like a difference in the way we drove but the data shows that we made a small gain, something we expected, so that's positive".

According to the Ferrari driver, there will be some more updates next week when the circus moves to the Eiffel: "I'm looking forward to the next race where we normally bring something bigger (in updates)".

Confirmation Binotto

Team boss of Ferrari Mattia Binotto was able to confirm that a number of new items will also be brought to Germany. "As Charles said, we have more upgrades for the Nurburgring, but they're not big ones". In addition, the team boss indicates that the good result of Leclerc in Russia is not a direct result of the updates that were brought. The balance of the car was better because the car fits well with the track in Socchi.

Although it won't be comprehensive upgrades in Germany next week, it is good for the team, Binotto says. After the race at the Nurburgring it will be all about improving the diffuser: "For us the updates are important. After that, the focus for the rest of the season will be on the diffuser, but from when is not quite clear".
