The Mugello circuit already received a lot of praise before the weekend, which did not diminish after Sunday's exciting race. The old skool circuit can also charm Marc Priestley, who is now even more looking forward to the race at Zandvoort. Hopefully somewhere next year.

Because of the corona pandemic, the Mugello circuit suddenly appeared on the calender. A great circuit that has remained intact since its construction 46 years ago. It caused a lot of drivers to be very happy when the track in Tuscany was added to the calender. Priestley believes that more such circuits are allowed on the calendar.

"It's a fantastic track. It would have a right to exist if it was finally put on the calender. It is an old fashioned circuit which is very narrow. That requires different skills from the drivers". Prietsley on his Youtube channel says some crashes came because it's an old skool circuit, so it's narrow.

More circuits like Mugello

The former mechanic of McLaren continues: "We need more turns like turn one at Mugello. Zandvoort of course still has those in more extreme mater, so I can't wait to go there. An old-fashioned track with gravel pits and little space around the track". This year the Grand Prix in Zandvoort was cancelled due to the corona pandemic.

Broad tracks don't get the most out of the drivers, Prietsley believes: "On narrower tracks, drivers can push their limits, so we need more of them".
