Red Bull Racing are normally very fast on Sundays, but often still lag behind on Saturdays. In Mugello, the team of Max Verstappen was already very strong during qualifying and the expectation is that they will be able to fight with Mercedes during the race.

Verstappen and Alexander Albon will need to make a good start, as overtaking will be difficult on the twisty track. Both Mercedes of Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas will start at the front, followed by the two Red Bull drivers. Behind them, Charles Leclerc managed a fantastic qualifying session and he will start from fifth place.

Only one grid penalty

Sebastian Vettel and Pierre Gasly have both underperformed so far this weekend. Both drivers have a lower starting position than their team-mate and also have to overtake a lot to have a chance to score points. There is only one grid penalty for the Tuscan Grand Prix and that is for Sergio Perez, due to a collision with Kimi Raikkonen in the second free practice session. That is why the Mexican has to start from seventh place.
