If we are to believe Tom Coronel, Max Verstappen has no chance of winning the world title this season. Competitor Lewis Hamilton's lead is too big and Coronel thinks Red Bull Racing can't improve the car enough in the upcoming Grands Prix.

Coronel is always seen as a great supporter and fan of Verstappen. According to the WTCR driver, Verstappen shows special things in a racing car every week. "I don't get paid by Verstappen, you know. And we don't send each other Christmas cards either. He just does things on the track that I've never seen before. And I have been a racing driver for 31 years, so it says something", the Dutchman says in an interview with Nu.nl.

Title for Verstappen in 2020?

Yet Coronel thinks that a World Championship title is no longer feasible this season. "But you have to be realistic. Red Bull can normally improve significantly during a season, but this season is too short for that", continues Coronel.

After only eleven weeks of nine Grands Prix races, the season is already halfway. The teams didn't have much time between races to improve. "The last race will be in three months, Hamilton won't give away this lead", Coronel ends.
