Ferrari will compete in their 1000th Grand Prix this weekend and will do so on their home circuit of Mugello. A special moment for Formula 1 and Ferrari. Things may not be going so well for the team at the moment, but they don't want to let this moment go unseen.

Ferrari goes back to 1950

This is why the Scuderia comes with a special livery. This was already announced last week, but on Wednesday they posted the first images of it. They opted for a very dark, Bordeaux red colour, where golden yellow letters indicate how many GP's they have recorded.

This colour was chosen because it corresponds to the colour used for their very first F1 car in 1950. In addition to a special livery, Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc will also be wearing special overalls and small-scale festivities will take place on the circuit and in the nearby city of Florence.
