It could be one of the most painful home races ever for Ferrari when Formula 1 hits Monza next weekend. Still, Vettel thinks that if fans were present, they wouldn't be booed.

No Tifosi at Monza

"I don’t think we would get booed," said Vettel to Motorsportweek.com when it is suggested that it is an advantage that the Tifosi should not be present at this year's Italian Grand Prix.

"The fans are suffering probably as much as the whole team. So if I had a choice I would still bring the fans back but obviously at the moment it is not a choice for us and not possible," continues Vettel. The German expects that in Italy, as at Spa-Francorchamps, it will be very difficult again.

Vettel has hope

"But still I have always some optimism and hope that some of the problems that seem to slow us this weekend can be understood and we can tackle them next week and be in a better place," concludes the four-time world champion.
