Albon: "When it rains, it is good for us"
Alexander Albon was half a second behind Max Verstappen during qualifying, but the feeling is a lot better with the 24-year-old Red Bull Racing driver. Furthermore, Albon states that he has already somewhat taken into account possible rain for his set-up of the RB16.
"I feel better, certainly", Albon starts to tell Ziggo Sport. "It felt good from the first lap in the first free practice. I am happy, we have made progress and the car is doing well. We have taken steps because the car is easier and more predictable to drive. That is positive. "
Albon wanted a place on the second row
Albon has to start from the third row, but he had actually hoped for more. "The last lap in my last run was not good. I am a bit disappointed about that. A fourth-place would have been possible"
For Sunday afternoon, Red Bull are hoping for some rain. "We have to look at the Renaults and the McLarens. They have a car set up for a dry race and we have a bit of a mixed car, just like Mercedes. When it rains, that's good for us," said the British Thai.
