Bottas: "I have to attack if I want to keep hopes for the title"
The Mercedes team said it had a difficult Friday, but a day later there was little signs of trouble. Red Bull Racing didn't challenge Lewis Hamilton, but Max Verstappen came close to beating Valtteri Bottas for second place. The Finnish driver is disappointed that he had missed out on pole position.
Bottas likes P2
"Turn 1 was a bit inconsistent. I think we got the car right there. On the first run, I think the tyres were cold and then the second lap was quite good and I know the gap to Lewis, but I don't mind because P2 is good here," Bottas said after qualifying.
"I need to attack if I still want to keep the title hopes. The first lap is a good opportunity," the Mercedes driver concludes.
