Haas falls back on old Ferrari parts after dramatic Belgian GP practice
Friday during the Belgian Grand Prix was a dramatic one for Ferrari. Its own team was unable to move forward and most of the customer teams didn't even make it out of the pit lane. At Haas, Kevin Magnussen therefore had to replace almost the entire power source.
No punishment for Magnussen
During the first free practice, Magnussen was almost unable to drive due to engine problems. The American team therefore decided to go back to some old parts for the second free practice session.
The FIA confirms that Haas will use a previously used internal combustion engine, turbo and MGU-H for the rest of the weekend. Because they are all old parts, the Dane will receive no penalty for this.
