Red Bull Racing has been chasing Mercedes. The team still wants to make Max Verstappen the youngest world champion ever and for that, star designer Adrian Newey is more dedicated than he already was.

Top performance Red Bull

This is what advisor Helmut Marko said in an interview with Motorsport-total.com. Marko speaks highly of his team: "What we did with the repairs in Hungary was unbelievable. And also the three pit stops within two seconds during the Spanish Grand Prix. The team is on fire."

In 2021 the teams' costs will be reduced due to the corona crisis. The teams will continue to run the same chassis next season and it's no coincidence that Newey will be more involved.

Concept of the RB16

"Another reason why we are committed to development this year", Marko explains. The 'high-rake' of the RB16 is also being investigated. "Because Newey thinks this is the most efficient solution, we will stick to it for the time being."

"The top three, including Max, are far ahead of the rest of the field. We can't be that wrong with our concept. We believe in it. You have a technical director to determine the direction", concludes Marko.
