Valtteri Bottas already seems to have no chance of winning the title after six races in the Formula 1 championship. Lewis Hamilton already has a big lead over his teammate and the past suggests that the Briton won't give away that lead easily.

Bottas still hoping for his chance

Bottas has signed a new one-year contract with Mercedes, but seems to have settled for a role as second violin in 2020. On Saturday the Finn can still get close to Hamilton, but when lights out comes around Hamilton still wins too often.

''I'm hungry for good results and that makes me work hard with the team. Lewis is also working hard of course, but I try to work even harder. In my driving I see that I know how to make steps forward, but now the important thing is that I have weekends without problems,'' said Bottas in conversation with ESPN.

What makes Hamilton better?

''It's about those details. My strength is that I want to discover as much as I can to get better again. Lewis is just a complete driver and very constant. I can't point to one specific point where it could be better,'' said Bottas.

''If I win, the situation is no different. Then Lewis also shows a lot of respect and indicates that I deserved to win and that's the other way around. I don't expect it to change just like that. He also knows how this game works and is here just like me just to race hard."
