Last week Max Verstappen won surprisingly and the hope was that the Dutchman could fight for victory again in Spain. That didn't happen, but the driver of Red Bull Racing did manage to split the two Mercedes cars. The 22-year old Dutchman is satisfied with his second place in Barcelona.

"We clearly didn't have the speed Lewis did. I'm very happy with the second place. It was good for us to be among the Mercedes drivers," Verstappen talked to Martin Brundle immediately after the Grand Prix. "The start was crucial to get past Valtteri. From there I tried to drive at my own speed."

Verstappen doesn't see Bottas attacking

In the last stint it could have been exciting, but a real attack by the Finnish Mercedes didn't happen. "I was quite happy with my tyres during the last stint, but he (Bottas) didn't really attack. It was quite comfortable," he says about the end of the race.

Can Red Bull be closer to Hamilton in two weeks? "We keep pushing to improve, we'll see," says Verstappen finally.
