Albon still frustrated despite qualifying improvements
For Alexander Albon the qualification in Spain went better than the previous qualification sessions. The driver of Red Bull Racing has often been disappointed after qualifying on a Saturday, but in Barcelona Albon managed to qualify in 6th place.
"It wasn't great today, but it was okay. I was actually expecting more from qualifying. It felt better on the used tyres in the first run, than the tyres in the second run. We need to see why it felt like that, but qualifying itself went okay," the Thai driver explained to Sky Sports.
"I think in Spain the tyres are wearing a little bit harder, while last weekend was more about the blisters on the tyres. This is really just about wear and tear. So we hope that others around us will have blisters and that we won't have those problems. If not, our speed won't be much different from the rest and Mercedes is going to be pretty fast," Albon said.
