Renault has joined Ferrari in the protest against Racing Point. Where McLaren has withdrawn and Williams still has doubts, Renault wants clarity about the rules for 2021.

‘’We have confirmed our intention to appeal against the Stewards’ decision in respect of the Racing Point brake ducts’’, reads Renault's statement published on Tuesday evening on all channels. After Ferrari, Renault also wants to have more clarity about Racing Point case.

Renault fights along

‘’In the meantime, we will continue to work intensively with the FIA and all stakeholders to develop and implement a clear and enforceable regulatory framework that will ensure all teams participating in the 2021 season will develop their original aerodynamic concept by themselves’’, according to Renault.

So it is clearly not over yet. Racing Point itself has gone into protest against the penalty and opponents Ferrari and Renault have also gone into protest on the other side. The question is how long Racing Point will be allowed to drive with the brakes and above all, how guilty is Mercedes of all this?
