Max Verstappen will start tomorrow on the hardest compound tyres during the second Grand Prix at Silverstone. The Red Bull Racing driver will be the only one in the top ten to do so. Valtteri Bottas is wary of the Dutchman.

Smart move

Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff still questioned the choice of Verstappen, but polesitter Bottas thinks it's a smart move by Verstappen. "It’s a good race tyre, for sure", he said about Verstappen's choice to start hard on Sunday at the official Formula 1 site.

"It can go longer than the compound that everyone else starting in the top 10. This is a small deficit at the race start itself but then it’s a bit more robust, less overheating, more durable", Bottas concluded.

One or two pit stops?

It will be exciting to see if Verstappen can continue on the tyre for a long time. Pirelli basically assumes that no one-stop stops will be made during the race.
