Racing Point happy with Hulkenberg's return: ''Was very sad last week''

Nico Hulkenberg will be back in action during the second Grand Prix at Silverstone. Sergio Perez again tested positive for the coronavirus and so Racing Point will have to rely on the German.
Nico Hulkenberg jumped into the car of Racing Point at the very last moment last week. The German had yet to be tested completely but was finally able to make his comeback in Formula 1. Of course, that wasn't easy, but Otmar Szafnauer is glad the German is back to replace Checo.
Hulkenberg back at Racing Point
''Nico did very well last weekend after a last-minute call to ride for us at Silverstone and he proved why he was an obvious choice to replace Checo. It was very unfortunate that he couldn't make the start of the race last Sunday, but all that hard work will prove to be very useful for this weekend. We miss Checo with us, but we wish him all the best and look forward to welcoming him back into the team in the near future," Szafnauer said.
However, the team boss at Racing Point won't be entirely happy. The team did everything they could to get Perez back in the car, as Lance Stroll, as leader, wasn't able to help the team in the right direction. The question is whether Nico will be able to take the lead with the team in his second weekend and bring more points home?
