Ricciardo sees Renault make a leap: ''P3 in the constructors is possible''

Daniel Ricciardo is confident after the British Grand Prix. The Australian finished just off the podium with fourth place and this gives Ricciardo a lot of confidence for the rest of the season.
''The good result did take some pressure off our shoulders. I already said that twice an eighth-place was fine in itself, but I already knew we could do more. It's great for the team that we were finally able to show this. But apart from Mercedes, there's no team that can do anything quietly and have a party, so we're working hard again," said Ricciardo at the press conference, according to Speedweek.com.
Ricciardo targets P3
After four races, Renault are sixth in the constructors' championship, but with only 19 points behind McLaren. Ricciardo still thinks about third place. "We need more weekends like this because we need to seize every opportunity to finish third in the championship. With a good weekend everything is possible because everyone is close together," says the Renault driver.
To achieve that, however, the team still has to take a step on Saturday. ''On Sunday we suddenly had the speed and we're faster in the race more often than during qualifying. We still have to find out why, because with a better result on Saturday we can be even further upfront'', concludes Ricciardo, who also says the team will bring updates this weekend.
