Verstappen satisfied with half a second deficit on Mercedes at Silverstone

Red Bull Racing had a hard time at the Hungaroring. A gap of more than a second to Mercedes during qualifying was their part. With that Max Verstappen and Alexander Albon fought for a place in midfield. This weekend they hope to surpass this.
In the race it looked a bit better during the Hungarian Grand Prix, but it wasn't made easy for the drivers because of their starting position. The first priority for the drivers is that this doesn't happen to them anymore. The gap with Mercedes is of later concern.
Update is a gamble
"That's not an issue that will be resolved within a week," said Verstappen at the press conference. He also has his doubts about the new parts the team brought to Silverstone.
He says he at least hopes he can stay away from Mercedes within half a second, but how big the gap will actually be is hard to predict according to him. "It could be two tenths, but also a whole second."
