Ferrari has, logically, not been idle during this one-week break. According to Motorsport.com, the Italian team will cover 100 kilometres on the Silverstone circuit next Wednesday, August 5, with the aim of trying out some new elements between the two races.

The extra filming day at Silverstone will of course not only be an opportunity to shoot promotional material, but will also be an opportunity for the engineers from Maranello to obtain important data on the new features that can be introduced in the car for the '70th anniversary GP'.

Ferrari's capabilities

If Ferrari actually decides to change structural elements of the SF1000, it may be that the team will use the two jokers for this season to replace the parts used since the first GP of the season. Hopefully after any updates, Ferrari will be a lot closer to the head of the field than they are now.
