Vettel on future: "Can still be as good as the rest"

Sebastian Vettel is waiting patiently for where he rides next season. The dissociative Ferrari driver weighs and weighs on his future, but still believes he can perform at a top level.

"Under the right circumstances, I can still perform and be as good as the rest, that's the confidence I have. Everything has to be right when signing a new contract. I am now mainly orienting myself to what I want. If the conditions are right, I'm definitely willing to sign with a new team," he says in front of the Sky Sports cameras.
 
It's also a question of which seats will be released next season. Red Bull said earlier that they don't have room for Vettel next season. "That's right. Let's see where the contracts end. I don't think Lewis Hamilton has a contract yet, but I don't think he intends to quit. It's wait and see and make the right choice for me."

End of collaboration

Ferrari and Vettel announced a few months ago to end the collaboration after seven years. Vettel came to the Italian race stable to conquer world titles, just as with Red Bull, but the German did not succeed. Next season his place will be taken over by Carlos Sainz, who will make the transition from McLaren.
