It is one of the few weekends that there will be no Formula 1 Grand Prix in the coming months. Good time not to sit in front of the tube for a while, you'd think, but then you'd have to miss the gladiators of MotoGP.

This weekend they will be at the start of their second race on the Jerez circuit and when it comes to drama, battle and heroism, no race class can match the two-wheelers. Especially this weekend is worth watching.

Marc Marquez will try to take part in the race weekend with a broken arm after a heavy crash during last Sunday's race. He has missed the practice sessions on Friday, but on Saturday he will really have to go on the track to qualify.

New challengers at the front

If that succeeds, the madness of Marquez's career reaches a new climax. Last week he surprised everyone by getting his bike back up from an impossible position and then riding a maniacal overtaking race, which ended in tears.

In the meantime a new star seems to have risen as well. The 21-year-old Fabio Quartararo won his first Grand Prix on Sunday and together with Maverick Vinales and Andrea Dovizioso seems to be the one to fight for the title this season.
