During the qualifying of the Hungarian Grand Prix it became clear once again that Racing Point has taken a huge step compared to a year earlier. With a third and fourth place they managed to perform very well, although they did fall back in the race. Auto, Motor und Sport has drawn up a ranking of the teams and their performance at the end of the Grand Prix, in which they ranked Racing Point even higher than Red Bull Racing.

They let it be known that Mercedes is the clear favourite, while Racing Point is going to be the only team they're going to keep up with in the next three races. That's because they are driving the car of 2019. AMuS sees that last year's Mercedes is still fast enough to attack Red Bull this year.

Second place thanks to Verstappen

This was also visible in Hungary. AMuS states that Racing Point was simply better than Red Bull at the Hungaroring. "They owe second place to their mechanics and a flying Max Verstappen. Albon showed with his fifth place where the car should actually be in Hungary".

"The fact that they had to break curfew as early as the third Grand Prix due to the complete change of setup. The fact that they still had problems with their configuration after that indicates that there is still a lot of work to be done". In the final ranking of AMuS, Red Bull is in third place, behind Mercedes and Racing Point. Ferrari is in a striking fourth place, after they had a better weekend in Hungary.
