Italy will organize at least two Grands Prix this year. Yesterday F1 race director and FIA safety representative Michael Masi inspected the Mugello circuit for the first Tuscany Grand Prix to be held on September 13th. Today it's Imola's turn so that a possible third GP can be held there in Italy.

Yesterday Mugello, today Imola

Masi was welcomed at Mugello by the director of the circuit Paolo Poli. The F1 racing director was assisted by Christian Bryll, logistics manager and GP-starter of Formula 1, let Motorsport.com know.

The chance that Imola will organize a third Grand Prix in Italy this year becomes more plausible by the hour. Masi will check at Imola today if the circuit is suitable to organize a possible Grand Prix.

The date of Imola

The medical centre in Rivazza is not finished yet, but will be ready in time for November 1st. That's when the Formula 1 wants to race on the Italian circuit. It is not the ideal time for a Grand Prix at Imola, because winter can still start early there.
