For Max Verstappen, the GP-weekend in Hungary ended being quite a good one. After a disappointing qualifying session the Dutchman hoped for a better result during the race, but due to a crash in the lap to the grid the Red Bull Racing driver was almost out before the race even started. In the end, Red Bull's mechanics were able to repair the car, allowing the Dutchman to start the race.

Peter Windsor is very pleased with the race that Verstappen had afterwards. "Verstappen was one of the striking results during the race. Good performance from Max", Windsor explains on his Youtube channel. "You have to remember that the Red Bull isn't a great car at the moment and it's a very difficult car to drive, not only on a wet track but also on a dry track".

F1 at its best

"That's what the practice sessions on Friday and Saturday showed." On Sunday it was once again clear that the Red Bull is difficult to drive. "He just lost the car in turn twelve. It happens to the best drivers, so it's certainly not something to be ashamed of. Max hit the wall quite hard and the front wing was completely broken off. In the end, he was able to drive his car to the grid."

According to Windsor, what happened on the grid is something very special. "He came out of the car, apologizing immediately. I counted fourteen mechanics working very hard together, it was really wonderful to watch. That's really Formula 1 at its best, that you see a team like Red Bull performing so well under pressure. In the end he came second, also thanks to Bottas. I don't think anyone thought he would be second, especially after qualifying," Windsor concluded.
