Max Verstappen had a great start to the Grand Prix of Hungary by climbing from seventh place to third place. That did not go unnoticed by Lewis Hamilton. The six-time world champion will look back to the start. The Mercedes driver jokes with Verstappen at the press conference about the crash of Verstappen before the race.

"For me, the start in the rain was a bit easier because I was already in the front," Hamilton is quoted by Motorsport.com after the race. The Brit will start analysing the start of Verstappen. "But I want to look back at Max's, how he passed everyone outside and what the others were doing on the inside."

Hamilton winks at Verstappen

Just under half an hour before the start of the race, all drivers headed from the pit to the starting grid. However, Verstappen touched the wall with intermediates. It was slipping and sliding on the wet asphalt. "Or not Max?", Hamilton winks at his 22-year-old Dutch rival. "Haha, yes. I can confirm that," responds Verstappen.

In the end, the Red Bull mechanics repaired the Verstappen car in twenty minutes. According to Christian Horner, this normally takes an hour and a half.
