Mercedes were strong at the Red Bull Ring, but in Hungary, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas seemed almost untouchable. The two battled it out but in the end it was Lewis Hamilton who finished just ahead of the Finn.

"I need to squeeze myself. This makes me very humble. I'm working with a great group of people without whom this wouldn't be possible. Valtteri doesn't make it easy for me and to qualify like that is a pleasure," Hamilton said.

"The car sure feels good, but not on rails. Maybe that's what it looks like compared to other people. It's a long way to turn one and nothing gets lost. It's going to be a long race and we don't know exactly what it's going to do again."
