Max Verstappen was not satisfied after his first day in Hungary. During the two free practice sessions, he finished eighth and seventh respectively. The Red Bull Racing driver knows that his team still has a lot of work to do ahead of qualifying and Sunday's Grand Prix.

"It didn't go so well," Verstappen told Sky Sports.

"The RB16 didn't behave as it should during the morning session.

"We've got a lot of things we need to dive into. It's a pity it rained in the second free practice, otherwise we could have looked at it. We have a lot of work to do."

Red Bull needs to look at the balance

For Verstappen, it was a difficult day in tough conditions but he didn't want to blame the weather.

"But that's the same for everyone, isn't it?

"Just the balance in general wasn't right. We need to look at that. Luckily, we've got quite an evening ahead of us."
