At Renault they still have the firm belief that Racing Point simply copied the 2019 Mercedes car. Marcin Budkowski even accuses the racing stable of Lawrence Stroll of collaborating with Mercedes.

"We believe Racing Point has received drawings and parts from Mercedes necessary to produce this year's car", says Budkowski in conversation with Sky Sports. The Executive Directo of the French team expects to receive a result from the FIA within a few weeks.

Further investigation not ruled out

Renault has protested against the brakes of the RP20. Budkowski expects that if the FIA believes that the the brakes are copied from Mercedes, other parts of the car will also be controlled by the stewards.
