Racing Point is full of confidence following the last race weekend in Styria. The race stable thinks there are many more possibilities in the RP20 than has been shown so far. Sergio Perez and Lance Stroll finished sixth and seventh on Sunday.

Pérez also received the honorary title 'Driver of the Day' after his overtaking during the race. "There are some circuits that will suit us better than the Red Bull Ring and then we will be even closer. How many? No idea. That's hard to say. For now I'm very happy that our speed in the race is good. But we still have a lot to learn, we haven't optimized our race weekend yet," says team boss Otmar Szafnauer according to Motorsport.com.

Happy with full program

Szafnauer is happy with the overcrowded program. "I remember from my time at Honda that there came a point in the season where you shifted your focus to the next season and didn't update the current car. In the end you will see that if you can't update four, five or six races, you will learn a lot and become faster. The more Fridays we drive, the more we'll learn about the set-up".

The RP20 has come in for a lot of criticism in the racing world lately, because it is an exact copy of the 2019 Mercedes world champion car. During the winter tests Racing Point, the former Force India, surprised friend and foe by clocking up fast times. Last weekend it led to sixth and seventh place.
