Ferrari's race was soon over in Austria after Charles Leclerc dug a hole that wasn't there. On the inside of Sebastian Vettel he took his teammate into the misery, as the problems for Ferrari only increased.

Punish the drivers

The pressure on Ferrari is intense right now. The Italians haven't won a world title since Kimi Raikkonen won on the final day in 2007. In recent years Mercedes has continuously been too strong, but in 2020 Ferrari has fallen so far back that even McLaren and Racing Point take more points. Flavio Briatore doesn't understand.

''This calls for some discipline. The car belongs to the team and not to the drivers. They have to respect the work of the team. I would have taken at least 5 to 10 percent of their salary, because their money is the only way you can hit them," says the former team boss of Renault against La Politico nel Pallone.

No leader at Ferrari

''Ferrari lacks a real leader and now, as a young group,it makes mistakes over and over again. After Montezemolo a lot of mistakes have been made. Of course they should have waited to announce their new drivers. You need a motivated Vettel and besides that the car is too slow," says Briatore pointing his finger at the management.

''Ferrari has not won for years and now have a problem not only with the aerodynamics, but also with the engine. Getting Lewis Hamilton is not going to help because a driver can give you up to two tenths. If I were Binotto I would give up the next two years and focus on 2022. I wouldn't doubt that for a second'', the flamboyant Italian concludes.
